The lines are blurring as traditional forms of media are combined online as content for
a multimedia audience.
In the wake of job cuts looming over the media industry, a new breed of digital media trained journalists like Maria Tan are emerging in the midst of the controversy.
World Youth Day is the largest youth event in the world and was the largest event ever hosted in Australia.
Pilgrims from around the world gathered in Sydney to celebrate the week long festivities of WYD08, a Roman Catholic event established by Pope John Paul II in 1986.
Pope Benedict XVI also apologised to sex abuse victims of the Catholic Church during mass at St. Marys Cathedral.
They're the most educated of all generations so far and are described as tech savvy, adaptable and efficient multi-taskers.
But despite their capabilities, Generation Y are still living with their parents well into their thirties in what is known as
"The Kipper Phenomenon".
